    One install

    RungParse is one Windows program. Studio 5000 L5X and TIA Portal project exports are in the current build; L5K import/export [To confirm against the next build]. The shared analysis tools come with whichever platform your key covers.

    A license covers a platform

    The only product split is which plant files Open accepts: Studio 5000 (Logix), TIA Portal project exports, or both. Enter the key under Help → License. It is checked on the laptop — no account, no online activation.

    Evaluate without a key

    Evaluate with the three built-in practice projects, which open without a key. A key may optionally be locked to one computer and may carry an expiry date.

Logix license

For Rockwell controllers. Opens Studio 5000 L5X exports on the laptop that already has the file — including long routines, converted SLC or PLC-5 programs, and indexed booleans that do not resolve on the rung in front of you.

For Siemens S7-1200, S7-1500, and ET 200SP CPUs engineered in TIA Portal. Ladder logic, with FBD and SCL blocks listed in the project tree, plus the tag tables those blocks actually use.

  • Optional read-only Live view of tag values from Logix (EtherNet/IP) and S7-1200/1500 controllers (S7 needs PUT/GET access on the PLC, which you control; limit it to what your site allows). Never writes to the PLC. Live is off by default and needs a valid license. It connects only when you turn on Live, to read values. With Live off, the app makes no network connection.

Licensing questions

Do I need an account or an online activation?
No. RungParse is licensed per computer with a key that works without internet — no account, no cloud check-in. Nothing phones home.
Where do I enter the key?
Help → License. Paste the product key and serial. IT can also drop license.key and serial.txt next to the program (or under ProgramData) so machines are pre-licensed.
What do the three licenses cover?
Logix opens Studio 5000 exports. TIA opens TIA Portal project exports for S7-1200, S7-1500, and ET 200SP. Logix + TIA is one key for mixed plants. Analysis features are the same for all three.
How do I evaluate RungParse?
Evaluate with the three built-in practice projects, which open without a key (the practice HMI too [To confirm against the next build]). Plant exports need a key that covers that platform.
